Cohort 20

Green City Force, to me, is a way to guide people who haven’t found a clear direction in life to the possible paths their life can take. It exposes people to new opportunities, opportunities that had they never joined the program they would have never known about. I chose to be a Corps Member because I felt that I could gain helpful experience that would support me in my future endeavors. I’ve always been interested in horticulture, but I lacked the actual hands-on experience I felt was necessary to seriously get into the field. Before Green City Force, I was at a loss for what to do with my life. I knew what path I wanted to take, but I just didn’t know how to get there. Green City Force isn’t just about horticulture/agriculture. It teaches you other soft skills and interpersonal skills that help Corps Members become their best selves. That’s what Green City Force did for me and I hope it can have this effect on anyone who joins in the future.
