Green City Force has meant putting into practice what I thought I knew and practicing who I wanted to be everyday. This experience has meant exploring, connecting, socializing, proving I am capable and that I have something to offer others. Before GCF I was in college studying culinary arts. I was finishing up and waiting to graduate. It wasn’t my passion but a useful skill that I am grateful that I learned. In general I feel passionate about teamwork and creative expression. Shout out to Kawon at Forest and my Service Coordinator Robin for assigning urban agriculture related projects in which I learned through researching and shared my artistic abilities. I experienced sloppy, unorganized moments as well as things in life never coming on time but my internal motivation has proven to be abundant. I made it through one way or another. I will forever be working on my professional skills until the end of time and when I’m in my final resting place. Shout out to my Corps Members Kimberly, Shateese, Jamau, Lexy, and Abigail as well as staff (Nick) and Fellows Jahlea, Pedro, Dani, Cheyenne, and Danilo. Thank you for sharing your light, your personable nature, and letting me be comfortable to be myself.
