Before starting GCF I had a passion for nature and biology though no real experience with either, professionally speaking. I have had small internships at various places but no true job experience. Throughout GCF I learned a lot about what it means to be a professional and what it means to have responsibilities. Being able to learn this while working directly with my interests was very fulfilling. Someone who really helped me throughout my term was my Service Coordinator Robin. Robin would constantly give me headers and help point me in the right direction. Robin helped me feel more comfortable around the staff in general and made my experience much more enjoyable. Some more people who helped me throughout my service term are Joseph, Kayla, Skylar and Chris; they were members of the Soil Crew, where I served. They are some of my closest work friends and they helped make the term go by much faster.
