At first, my reasoning for applying to Green City Force was mainly for the educational award, so that I could pay my debts and re-enroll in college. Before reading about the program, I had very little interest in agriculture and green construction, I was more interested in what I could gain financially. Throughout my time with GCF, I was able to broaden my view of possible career paths. The site visits, various training & informational sessions, all had a positive impact on what I believed I was capable of. From this experience, I found my career path, expanded my technical education, gained collaborative skills and a better outlook upon my future.
