Green City Force has meant a great deal to me in many ways. First showing up at GCF I was kind of lost on what I wanted to do. But after 5 months I really understand a lot more about myself through my strengths and weaknesses. I chose to become a member because I was unemployed at the time and really needed it. I learned that you have to learn to listen and listen to learn to be able to get through a lot of problems because they’re not always physical problems and you don’t have to react to them. I would first and foremost want to thank my team for giving me the confidence to show up and be there for the team. There’s no I in team. I’d also like to thank Steve for seeing the vision and seeing my potential of me traveling to and from service at Mariners Harbor and helping me along the way.
