Cohort 26

Ezekiel Morman (he/him)

GCF is a great organization that is meant to serve under-resourced communities and empower the youth. I wanted to expand my career options, and doing so while serving the community was a plus. Before GCF, I was working in construction installing steel framing and acoustic ceilings. During my free time I’d utilize my musical education, recording and mixing records for other artists, as well composing my own records. The most important thing I learned was the power of self-discipline. Being on time and just showing up is half the battle. I also learned the importance of having a community of people that have similar experiences, who are fighting for the same cause and having a space where we can help each other grow and reach our full potential. I’d like to thank the entire GCF staff for pushing us to reach our goals, no matter what it was we desired out of the program they did whatever in their power to support us along their way. I’d like to thank each Corps Member for the community and family that we were able to build. I’d also like to thank my family for their love and support.
