Tationa Dyce

Green City Force means to me sustainability, energy efficiency and service including the community. I chose to become a Corps Member because I wanted to learn about different communities and dive deeper into urban agriculture. Before GCF, I lost my job, living in my mom’s house, and I was deeply depressed and would be in my bed the majority of the day. The most important thing I learned in my time at GCF was learning about planting, building, and the culture of sustainable food. I also learned that not everyone’s out to get me and that there are still good people in the world. I would like to thank Steve, Giselle, Justin, Izzy, Shontanyce, Hakim, and every other staff member. Sometimes I have my days where I don’t click with everyone but slowly and surely I learned from each and everyone in the staff and I thank you for being patient and taking your time with me. <3
