Green City Force has been a mind opener for me. Before I joined this program I was blind to my opportunities. I was working at Radio City Music Hall and I didn’t really know what I wanted to do or what I was capable of doing. I had a really closed mind and didn’t know anything about being eco-friendly. One day I was talking to a friend of mine and telling her that I really needed to do something different, and she told me about Green City Force. She gave me the number and I called right away. Being in the program, not only did I learn about the community, farming, cooking healthier, and becoming eco-friendly, I learned about myself. I learned how powerful my voice is, I learned how to truly communicate, and most importantly I learned how to push myself for a better future.
