Prior to me joining Green City Force I was in between jobs and couldn’t decide if I wanted to go back to school or continue looking for a job. A mentor of mine brought the idea of Green City Force to my attention. I was on the fence about it because I wasn’t sure what exactly Green City Force was, so I decided to attend an information session with Irene, Kenta and some graduating Corps Members and became interested in the program. One important thing I learned being at Green City Force is how to step out of your comfort zone and do what needs to be done no matter my personal opinion towards the task . My experience with Green City Force was a very unique experience; I learned a lot and hopefully the following cohort will as well, if not more. After GCF I plan to go back to school and get my carpentry license so I can be more equipped when seeking my career.
