As cliché as it may sound, Green City Force has made me into a better person today and will forever have a place in my heart. Before joining GFC, my life had come to a sudden halt. Dealing with some issues, I was not progressing in life as I would have liked to. One day I noticed a flyer in my building lobby advertising Green City Force along with all the perks the program has to offer. I saw this as an opportunity and went for it. I needed a change in my life, and thought, ‘What do I have to lose?’ I’ve gained hands-on experience in the working field, learned the importance of professionalism and networking, learned what it means to be sustainable, and met a wonderful group of people who all share the goal of bettering themselves. It was a great pleasure to work with staff who work hard and are very passionate to help the cohort succeed in GCF. I’m looking forward to the possibilities and opportunity that I will have going forward with my life. Thank you Green City Force.
