Green City Force put me through a lot. Besides the farm work, I have gained a lot of character development throughout my term. From the countless feedback sessions and times I had to force myself out of bed just to make it on time to service, all these struggles have shaped me mentally. My life before being a Corps Member was very plain. I was a high school graduate that needed a kick start for the 4th chapter of my life. There have been many reasons why I wanted to become a Corps Member, but the main reason was the education award. Throughout my whole life, I wasn’t really a goal chaser- I would make goals and never accomplish them. When I saw that at the end of my term I was able to gain something that would benefit me in a positive way, I had to try it.
