Green City Force has changed me. Before GCF, I was going through a lot of things in my life, not knowing what I wanted to do with my life. The only things that I was familiar with were fighting and getting into trouble. I thought that was fun, until I found out devastating news that changed my mind about everything. When I lost my friend, I reflected on how society is and I realized that I have to make a change for myself. That is when I decided to join GCF. In this program, I went through numerous conflicts within myself. Being in GCF really opened my eyes and showed me how valuable I am. I can honestly say that I am not the same person I was when I first joined. I learned to not let my personal problems interfere with work, not to trust everybody that you encounter, and at the end of the day to focus on yourself. I am grateful for the friends I made in GCF. I thank GCF for teaching me professional and technical skills, teaching me about the world we live in, and how the green industry is forming worldwide. I thank Lawrence for never giving up on me. I thank GCF for making me who I am today.
