Green City Force meant a lot to me because the organization gave me a chance to redeem myself after finding out that I had to drop out of school. Before Green City Force, I was actually a computer engineer major in the University of Bridgeport. The reason why I chose to become a Green City Force Urban Farm Corps Member was to take advantage of every single opportunity that this non-profit organization had to offer. The most important thing that I’ve learned during my term with Green City Force is how many job and career opportunities you can find just by being involved in the green field and contributing to keep the planet and environment healthy. My plan after I finish my term with Green City Force is to work for another non-profit called Harrison Green as a professional gardener, focused on ornamental gardening, green infrastructure, and maintenance on rooftop farms. I would like to thank all of those who supported me on my journey. Important people like family, friends, staff, and my beloved Corps Members helped put me in the position I am today, and I can’t thank you enough for that.
