Green City Force was an invaluable experience. I learned a lot about myself. For example, I learned that I need to be more assertive and GCF brought out my assertiveness. My experience also brought to my attention many issues facing my community that I wasn’t fully aware of. The most significant thing about GCF is the support and constructive nature. Before GCF I took a few semesters of college, but I was taking a lot of courses that I wasn’t interested in. That’s what I like about GCF it’s very specific and lets you do what you’re most interested in. A staff member I would like to thank is Precious who was personally invested in my development. I even got my OSHA 10 which is very valuable for any general labor jobs, if not because it’s a requirement, than because it’s valuable to your health.
