Green City Force has meant many things to me: perseverance, patience, and most of all, a truly life-changing experience. I decided to become a Corps Member because I was lost and needed guidance toward something better. After graduating high school, I had no clear direction and wasn’t sure where I was headed. Joining GCF felt like the first step in the right direction, even if I still don’t know exactly where I want to go. The most important lesson I learned from GCF is that everyone has potential, even when they can’t see it in themselves. It’s easy to feel uncertain or doubt what you can achieve, but GCF showed me that everyone has something to offer. The key is recognizing and embracing that potential, even when the path ahead feels unclear. Through my time with GCF, I learned to trust the process and accept that growth takes time. Every challenge is an opportunity to develop, even when the future feels uncertain. Though I still don’t have all the answers about my future, GCF gave me the confidence to believe in myself and in the journey ahead. I’m grateful for the lessons and experiences that will stay with me.
