This adventure we call life has been an exciting one. Growing up in New York, one has to overcome challenges and obstacles thrown at them, never knowing from which directions they are coming. Joining Green City Force has been a very fulfilling journey. I did not know what to expect, but these six months being in the program has taught me a lot, such as professionalism, being reliable, and knowing how to carry oneself when it comes to being under pressure in a certain situation. My career path has become very clear now, thanks to the GCF staff. A special thanks to Michael Johnson-Chase for taking the time to help me figure out what I really wanted to do and what I was put on this earth for. If it had not been for my mom being the strong person she is, I would not be the strong young woman I am today. She is one of the reasons why I chose to become a Corps Member. My plan after GCF will definitely be to continue working in green industry, as well as the solar industry.
