Participating in Green City Force’s Eighth Cohort has been a great experience for me. I really tackled a lot of obstacles and feel like I grew as a person in the six months I spent here. I came here with some confidence and wanted to showcase that I was capable of doing great things if given the opportunity. I feel like I got the most out of my time here and I’m truly grateful for being a part of what Green City Force does and the platform they gave me. I truly believe in their mission and the wonderful things they can do for future Corps Members, knowing what Green City Force has done to build my confidence and skills. In closing, I want to thank Green City Force for being worthwhile and bringing the superstar out of a young kid from Brooklyn.
I just completed my second AmeriCorps term as a Service Associate with Green City Force, and it was a great experience. It was different assisting the Team Leaders and being around them in meetings. I learned so much and I felt honored to be around them. I got a better sense of emotional understanding and found a stronger courage in myself that I didn’t gain as a Corps Member. GCF means everything to me and my love for the
organization is endless. I personally want to thank Team Leader Lawrence Harris for acknowledging my potential. I wouldn’t have had the opportunity if it wasn’t for him. In closing I just want to thank GCF for making a kid’s possibilities in life endless.
