Before joining Green City Force, I wasn’t doing anything or going anywhere. I had just dropped out of college and my job hunting was uninspired at best. I joined because I needed something to do, something to learn. Because of GCF, I’ve been able to keep learning like I wanted to and in a nontraditional classroom environment. The most important thing I’ve learned is to ask for help when I need it. Here at GCF, there’s always someone nearby willing to help lighten the load and I’m very grateful when I get to be that person. I want to thank my team and staff for the support they’ve shown Cohort 21 these last six months, especially the people that work behind the scenes. I also want to thank myself for persevering and keeping motivated, even toward the end.
