GCF means community to me. When I joined GCF I was just looking for something to do. I always struggled to commit to long term opportunities, so to me this was a growing experience. However, I found a passion for agriculture and horticulture. There’s something tranquil about being submerged in nature and connected physically with the earth. I learn skills that I’ll be able to pass on to my family and will be able to teach to my community. I’m happy that I joined because it wasn’t always easy, sometimes not every personality mixes, but we’re a family and I was able to overcome all obstacles. I thank everyone who supported me and stayed and will stay by my side in this journey we call life.
