Cohort 6

Green City Force (GCF) has meant a lot to me personally. Over time I grew an appreciation for both GCF’s staff and its culture as an organization. I chose to become a Corps Member because I wanted to learn something new and broaden my knowledge boundaries. Before GCF, I was working at a Supermarket making a livable wage. It was definitely enough to pay for an apartment and more. Sadly that job was too stressful and it was just that, a job. I wanted a career and to love doing it.

GCF taught me a lot of new things during my time as a Corps Member, but I would have to say the most important thing that they taught me was the impact that I as a human being can bring to the earth. Either for better or for worse, each human in the world can make a difference if they put their mind to it. So after Green City Force, I hope to have a job in the green economy. This newborn economy is growing very fast, and I feel like Green City Force has equipped me with just the right tools I need to make a difference.
