Being a Corps Member of Green City Force has been an incredibly new eye-opening experience from meeting other Corps Members, learning how to grow and harvest crops, engaging with the community and so much more. GCF provided a sense of purpose for me. I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do because I had so many interests. GCF taught me it’s okay to have many passions to explore and always be open to try new opportunities even if it’s outside my interest. I chose to become a Corps Member with GCF because I didn’t have enough experience in the workforce so this was the perfect opportunity to build my skills and knowledge so I can be successful in my career. Before GCF, I was focusing on obtaining my Associate’s Degree in Natural Sciences. After this upcoming fall semester I will be graduating so I’m super excited and after GCF I hope to go back to school for veterinary tech so I can work with animals. I want to thank my mom who is my guardian angel that is no longer here physically but in a spirit that motivates me everyday to become a greater version of myself and the Wagner team for your support during the service term.
