GCF has meant a big deal for me since the program started. I always knew GCF was a great program bent on helping the environment and the youth, but at the end of the program you notice that it’s so much more than that. I chose to become a Corps Member because it seemed like a great opportunity to learn a lot of new things that I already had an interest in. When I was at the info session, I remember thinking, ‘this is something I really want to do.’ Now I’m here and it’s something I gave my all to, and I am proud of our success.
Before GCF I was already in college, but my goals were all over the place. I had so many dreams that I wanted to achieve but I didn’t know exactly how to do them or where to start. I needed a lot more experience and knowledge, which I believe I’ve gotten from GCF in the past 6 months.
