GCF has meant new opportunity, being able to go through a door that I never knew was open to me. The reason I became a Corps Member was because I wanted to make a difference, I wanted to make a change, and I did that with GCF. Before GCF I was working as a cashier at Home Depot and I was not happy doing the same thing almost every single day, no change, no growth, no difference. I wanted something different and GCF was definitely that change. The most important thing I learned during my time at GCF was that you can be the change that affects the world and you can make a difference if you just speak up or create something or take action upon negative things. After GCF I hope to continue in the field of agriculture, or continue working with GCF, or work in media and communications, which has always been a passion of mine. During my time in GCF I had many people supporting me, including my team leader Carson. I don’t know how she does it, but she managed to handle a team like ours, which is crazy to me. Also, one man who has been like a mentor to me is David Buckle. Learning about David, I was so impressed by his work and the knowledge that he has. Being able to work with him and learn from him has been a highlight of my term.
