Before joining GCF, I was working at Amazon, hustling through long shifts but craving something more meaningful. GCF has been a game-changer for me. Having the chance to grow, serve my community, and discover my purpose has only been positive for my future endeavors and my current well-being. I chose GCF because I wanted to make a difference in my neighborhood while gaining skills for a better future. Growing up in Breevort, I saw the need for positive change, and GCF’s focus on sustainability and community empowerment spoke to me. The program offered hands-on training and a chance to work with people who share my drive. The most important thing I learned at GCF is the power of teamwork. Whether we were building urban gardens or teaching kids about eco-friendly habits, I saw how collective effort creates real impact. It taught me patience, leadership, and effective communication. GCF has fueled my passion for community improvement. Moving forward, I want to focus on youth work, building, and electrical work. Those are skills I started honing at GCF. I’m grateful for my GCF mentors, team, and family for their support. They pushed me to believe in myself and my vision for a stronger foundation of my own.
