Green City Force means change and impact to me, with everything I’ve done alongside the cohort. After taking the opportunity to become a Green City Force Corps Member, I’ve learned tasks from taking care of produce to feeding families healthy foods and bringing smiles to their faces. I had my doubts before joining and not having knowledge about the community, agriculture, and what I can do to make a change, but learning that is what has helped me evolve. What I’ve learned the most from the experience as a whole is growth – everyone can improve and evolve overtime; that’s something I took away because I started out with barely any confidence. I’m thankful for everyone, the staff, my friends, and family who believed in me to overcome the obstacles.
