During these six months, Green City Force has been a unique and special experience for me. As a college student, being part of GCF was a deeply transformative experience helping me grow professionally and mature as a person. It helped me discover myself and motivated me to pursue a career in horticulture in the future. I have been passionate about horticulture since I was little, but I had doubts about how to get started. Before joining GCF I was looking for a path that would allow me to grow personally and professionally. During my time at GCF I learned the importance of teamwork and communication. One of the reasons I decided to join is my true passion for agriculture, sustainability, and, most of all, my passion, as a minority, for having a positive impact on my community and being able to help people in my community. As a member of Cohort 28 from the Forest team, I had a wonderful experience at GCF and I want to thank all the GCF staff who were always willing to help me, especially my Service Coordinator, Rosana. I will always be grateful to you from the bottom of my heart!
