Green City Force means a lot to me due to the fact that they gave me a second chance at a different life. They have taught me professionalism and soft skills, opened my eyes to what’s going on in the world with global warming and climate change, and how we must go green for a better and healthier world.
I became a Corps Member with GCF because I honestly had no other option; it was either GCF or back to the streets. Before GCF, I wasn’t doing anything productive or anything I wanted for my future or for my family to see and experience. The most important thing I learned while I was in Green City Force is that the only way to change the world we live in, is to make that change within ourselves. We must become the light that this dark world needs to make the right changes to better the world. My plans after GCF are to be able to continue making the proper changes needed to have a better lifestyle and to help change the world for the better. I would like to thank Dennis, Lawrence, Larimar, Josh and the rest of the GCF staff members for believing in me and giving me the strength to finish the program and make it to college to start a better life.
