Before Green City Force I wasn’t actually doing anything productive in particular. As a non -profit organization, Green City Force helps 18-24 year old NYCHA development residents, like me, get our lives back on track. When I saw GCF fliers around my neighborhood offering job preparation and college level academics, I thought, ‘ I can never go wrong if I invest in my future through Green City Force’.
The most important thing that I have learned during my time with GCF is understanding everything is a test to push myself further, so I can be prepared for the real world and take responsibilities for my actions. With the experiences and skills I have attained, I plan to go to college and eventually own my own business.
