Green City Force is a stepping stone not just for me but for the planet as well. In Green City Force, I learned about sustainability and a sustainable living for ourselves. Green City Force has helped me achieve a lot of things that will be needed in order for me to reach my goals, like my OSHA 40. My uncle showed me the flier while we were on a drive because I felt I was ready to give up. During my time here I have learned that I enjoy supporting my community any way I can. There were lots of great people that were always in my corner during my time in service like my two fellow Corps Members Kaieteur and Xavier who would do recruitment with me anytime I asked or called to work on assignments. I’d also like to thank my two Eco-Hub Fellows Jakeema & Gabriella and my Service Coordinator Jawann, who would call and make sure my teammates and I are on time on site and helped reassure me any time I felt like giving up. Before joining I was always silently fighting my own battles without asking for help until I broke from the pressure but now I can confidently ask for help.
