Green City Force has been an incredible place to find out what my next steps are while improving myself overall in and out of service. Throughout my time at GCF, I have learned many things about the world around me and how to maneuver it socially and professionally. With the many Power Sessions on communication, mental, and emotional health, and managing money, I have been able to grow more as a person. As far as opportunities, GCF did a really good job of helping me explore options to find jobs for when I graduate. One of the biggest takeaways from my service term was developing the discipline to be able to wake up much earlier than I’m used to and still have the energy to perform well on the Eco-Hub. With my team, there was never a dull moment, which made service on-site very fun. Despite the work that can sometimes be really hard, the feeling of pushing through so that we can help the community get fresh greens always reminded me how important the cause is. Overall, I enjoyed the experience! I want to thank my Mariners Harbor team as well as the GCF staff for helping me get through the service term!
