Cohort 7

Isiah Timmons

Green City Force means change, development, and skills. This program has indeed helped me achieve these 3 things throughout these six months. When I started GCF, I was completely shy and not very good at speaking to people, but GCF helped me transform these traits for the better. I’m proud of GCF for that and I am proud of myself for being able to improve. I chose to become a GCF Corps Member after I had to drop out of college and felt like I was doing nothing in my life. I was home most of the day looking for jobs, and it seemed like nothing was progressing from it. I knew that this program could help me get a job and provide other benefits as well. I now feel more confident in both my communication and professionalism. After I graduate Green City Force, I plan to go back to college and acquire my Bachelor’s Degree. I would like to thank all the GCF staff for: helping me strengthen these skills, helping me get through any hardships I had, and foremost, giving me the opportunity to join the program in the first place. If it weren’t for GCF allowing me to join their program, there’s no telling what type of situation I would be in right now. I would also like to thank my fellow Corp Members for always helping me find the best path for me and letting me know what skills I could improve and how to improve them. With that said, I would like to thank everyone who helped me grow and become a stronger human being in mind and in body.
