Green City Force means a great deal to me. I really feel welcomed here as a Corps Member. The staff are so reliable and respectful to me. They taught me new things, such as installations, how blow doors work and how to measure energy efficiency in buildings. Before GCF I was working for a utility company called Family Energy. There, I gained experience knocking on doors to convince residents to switch from their utility company to Family Energy, allowing them to lower their electric and water bills. I became an AmeriCorps member because I wanted to apply my dedication, hard work ethic, and productivity. Hopefully after GCF, I will continue working at the Association for Energy Affordability (AEA), where GCF has sent me since July 1st.
