Cohort 28

Eden Pascal (they/them)

Through my journey with Green City Force as a member of Cohort 28, I have discovered my path to peace and the significance of green sector projects like GCF. I’ve learned so much about my worth and gained the tools necessary to pave the path to my success. In Mariner’s Harbor, I experienced great dedication for my team and looked next to me to see others’ attentiveness to seeking change too. The change was beautiful to see throughout the six months I have spent serving as a member. The seedlings sprouting, the days getting colder all while progressing with each other. I am especially thankful for my Service Coordinator, Izzy, and Justin whose delicate yet strong work ethic inspired me throughout the cohort. I feel fortunate for the genuineness of many different real-life situations addressed by staff. The world has been unveiled to me in so many ways, and I cherish how I show up in spaces all across New York. Although it’s not perfect, progress is possible when we come together and support one another. Gardening and immersing yourself in the world around you is not a painless task.
