Green City Force is about community and improving it. I chose to become a Corps Member with GCF because I was at a very confusing point in my life and I needed something that could help me figure out what I wanted to do. Before GCF I was going to college and making ends meet by cutting hair as a barber. The most important thing I’ve learned being in GCF has been to have a different outlook on the environment. I had little to no knowledge on sustainability and now I could teach anybody! My plan after GCF is to obtain a job and eventually go back to school to earn my degree so I can own a business one day. I would like to thank Carson and Andrew for their leadership efforts and making sure that we became the best professionals that we could be. There were times where we wouldn’t see eye to eye but overall, they really helped me along the road. It doesn’t hit you until you start to get closer to the finish line. I feel like by doing the great work I did, I now know I’m capable of great things.
