Before I came here I’d recently dropped out of college because it was overwhelming and I was depressed. My mom saw a flyer for GCF and told me that I should sign up. My life has changed for the better. I realize what I want to do now (horticultural therapy) and that I can make an impact not just on other people but on the earth itself. Before I got to the farm I thought that I wasn’t going to like it but I found it very relaxing. I always wanted to do therapy and really liked the farming. I did a bunch of research and found horticultural therapy and realized that is what I want to do. I want to thank Precious and Amelia because they really got me through when I was having tough times with the cohort.
To my employer: You should know I have a passion for everything I do and it makes me happy to help others.”
