Before Green City Force, I was working for UPS, but realized that it wasn’t for me. At the info session I was blown away by all the opportunities that were available to the youth. The most important thing I’ve learned with GCF is to look outside the box and see others’ opinions and views. I learned that doing a little extra service, like packaging goods for the poor or homeless at NYC Food Banks, can completely change someone’s life. My plans after GFC are to attend LaGuardia Community College. I would like to give special thanks to Team Leaders Elliezer and Wesley for teaching me how to be humble, maintain professionalism in and out of the work place, and just basically support throughout the cohort.
