I grew up in Pomonok Housing in Queens, NY. I went to Virginia and graduated from high school. For multiple reasons I came back to New York, but I didn’t feel like I had the drive to do anything. I wanted to go to college but I always put it off- to be honest, I am a big procrastinator. I was moving from one small job to another, but I always kept my faith. When I saw the flyer for Green City Force I didn’t know where it was going to take me, but I was willing to take the journey. I learned a lot of things from Green City Force, in particular, how to be more of a leader and say what I want. I would like to thank the whole staff and especially my Team Leaders Elliezer, Oronde, and Wesley, and also Mara, who is helping me get in to college. Now it feels like I am really moving in the right direction. Thanks and keep helping the young adults, who are the future!
