Shontanyce Bailey is GCF’s Alumni Retention Manager. She is a Cohort 12 alumna and was formerly the Service Coordinator at GCF’s Wagner Houses site. Prior to joining the staff, she and two other corps members engineered and built the Wagner and Bayview farm sites. After graduating from GCF, Shontanyce went on to represent GCF by joining We Day events in New York City and California (“WE Day is the manifestation of the WE movement: an unparalleled celebration of young people and educators who have made a difference. Held in over 15 cities across the United States, Canada, the UK and the Caribbean, the event series features an inspiring line-up of world-renowned speakers, award-winning performers and real-world stories of change”). Shontanyce received her Associates Degree in Oriental Horticulture, Applied Science from Bronx Community College. She intends to use her degree to work with incarcerated adults and clients of mental health services.
