Carolyn is a NY/NJ-based writer and nonprofit development professional. She has been in the publishing, arts and culture, and nonprofit fields for over two decades. She has knowledge of and experience with various streams of annual fundraising (government, foundation, corporate, and individual giving, including major gifts), grant writing, capital campaigns, events, strategic planning, team building and management, board development, rebranding, and communications. Her past and current expertise and activism have focused on BIPOC community social justice issues, Asian American culture and arts, and women’s organizing. She believes in the power of words to inspire action and collaboration with community as central to problem-solving, strives to be present, and is (re)grounding herself in nature and environmental sustainability where her activism began as a youth.
