Rosemary rejoins GCF as a Recruitment and Outreach Associate. Rosemary has remained in contact with GCF since 2018 with the help of their weekly emails. Inspired by her time in Cohort 16, she hopes to help expand The Force—starting with Cohort 28! She was previously stationed at Origins High School as the Family Outreach Coordinator. During her year in the distant Sheepshead Bay neighborhood, Rosemary focused on reconnecting the drive of the administration, the concerns of the parents, and the optimism of their children. Working alongside Partnership with Children and the NYCDOE exposed Rosemary to a huge disconnect within our post-pandemic society. She realized how beautiful communities are when they have a genuine understanding of one another. The algorithmic bubbles that surround our digital landscape may sometimes blind us from that realization. Rosemary hopes to use her experience working with HBO MAX and the Tribeca Film Festival to share creative reminders of the power within Green City Force. She hopes to warmly invite the world into an acceptance of their greatest potential. After overcoming her own fear of failure, Rosemary has become extremely empathetic to all kinds of people. We’re not that different, after all.
