Kawon Veazy is the Service Coordinator for the Howard Houses Eco-Hub at Green City Force (GCF). A proud two-time graduate of the GCF program, Kawon first served as a Corps Member in Cohort 22 and later as an Eco-Hub Fellow for Cohorts 23 and 24. He brings a strong commitment to engaging and empowering communities. Before joining GCF, Kawon worked as a Harm Reduction Outreach Worker, where he provided substance abuse and homeless services on the streets to offer food and basic medical care, including overdose prevention. Additionally, he worked for the New York City Council, conducting outreach initiatives to educate community members on council policies. Outside of work, Kawon is currently creating a docuseries that highlights the efforts of community gardens in New York City to combat food insecurity. His passion for sustainability and community resilience aligns seamlessly with GCF’s values of People, Passion, and Perseverance.
