Ada’s connection to agriculture began at an early age through volunteering at community farms, gardening on rooftops to supply produce to free fridges in Brooklyn, and learning about compost systems with Grow NYC. This drive for land stewardship, community, and equitable access led Ada to pursue a B.S. in International Agricultural Development, be an ambassador for a food sovereignty initiative, and guide a mural project centering the importance of native and seasonal plants.
Ada served as a Garden Educator at a middle school in San Francisco before joining GCF as an Eco-Hub Coordinator. Throughout their career, Ada has farmed in New York, North Carolina, and California, where they have tended sheep, goats, and hens, operated tractors, and managed greenhouses and CSA programs.
Driven by a passion for food activism, empowering young urban farmers, farm-to-table cooking, and incorporating art into all spaces, Ada is dedicated to strengthening resilient, community-rooted agriculture.
