Cohort 29

Terrell Miller (he/him)

Green City Force has been a meaningful experience that gave me the chance to grow, challenge myself, and contribute to my community in a positive way. I chose to become a Corps Member because I wanted structure, opportunity, and a clear path forward. Before GCF, I was an NYC Parks and Recreation employee working part time, in school and still figuring out my direction. I felt like I needed something that would push me to be more disciplined and focused on my future. During my time at GCF, I have learned lessons that go beyond the program itself. I discovered the value of responsibility, accountability, and teamwork. I learned how important it is to step outside of my comfort zone, stay consistent, and not give up when things get difficult. These experiences helped me gain new skills that I can take with me into any career I pursue. Green City Force showed me that growth comes from dedication and effort, and that I have the ability to create positive change not only in myself, but also in the environment and the community I am part of. I am proud to have been part of this program and what it represents.
