Cohort 29

Jaice Diaz (he/him)

Green City Force meant a lot to me as it helped me jumpstart where I want to be, stepping into adulthood, helping me get my driver’s license and certifications for different trades to help build our resumes for different careers/jobs in the future. I chose to become a Corps Member with GCF because it seemed like the best opportunity for me at the moment and it ultimately was because I got to learn new things, meet new people and work on my professionalism. Before GCF I was on a job hunt and unfortunately I couldn’t find the right lane to get into so I was finding myself stuck until I came across GCF. The most important thing I learned during my time here is no matter the obstacles that come in your way, just keep a level head and adjust, learn how to see the good in things and not focus on the negatives. I want to thank Marc & Alie for giving me the opportunity to switch to Astoria near the middle of the term as it made the rest of my term a breeze and shout-out to my peoples in Forest where I got drafted to, we locked in.
