For me, Green City Force meant a chance to develop new skills that can be carried with you as you progress your career. I chose to become an AmeriCorps member because I wanted the certifications they provide. Before Green City Force I was floating around from job to job looking for something that resonated with me. One important thing I learned during my time in Green City Force is to not just be yourself but also be who you are required to be. Career-wise this means, being able to build new qualities within yourself that can benefit you in the work field. I’d like to thank Chastidy for being a great leader and Service Coordinator during my service term, since the beginning she prioritized team-building and taught me a lot about agriculture. I’d also like to thank the Career and Support Service teams from Wagner, Hannah and Jo, for helping me prioritize my goals.
