A huge thank you to everyone who supported and attended our Earth Week celebration of Green City Force as NYCHA’s Civilian Climate Corps! We missed those who weren’t able to make it, and hope that those who were able to come had as much fun as we did being together in community and lifting up the stewardship, grit, and skills of our young leaders paving the way for climate justice.

A special thank you again to our guest speakers, Rohit Aggarwala, Tamara Greenfield, and Siobhan Watson, for joining us and highlighting crucial partnerships such as these in the way forward. And to our alumni speakers, Josh Owens and Domingo Morales, for sharing your journeys and shining a light on the power of passion and perseverance.

To all of our Corps Members and Alumni, you are the force!

Thank you all for being a part of the GCF community!

Check out this dropbox folder for more photos from the special night! Don’t forget to tag us at @greencityforce and use the hashtag #futuregreencity.

“We are a movement – We are the force!”

Thanks to Domingo and Compost Power, our food and tableware leftover from the event will be turned into compost, nourishing new crops and soil in our communities, demonstrating a closed loop model of GCF sustainability efforts making Earth Day happen every day.
