To celebrate Earth Month, we’re excited to announce a special $75,000 matching gift opportunity thanks to our partner The Lawrence Foundation. Every dollar donated towards this goal will be doubled, helping us make an even greater impact as we launch our 30th Cohort and two new Eco-Hubs!
Join us in welcoming the 44 new Corps Members of Cohort 30 who, alongside 12 second-term 2026 Eco-Hub Fellows, are beginning their service and training terms with GCF. These young leaders are learning about what it means to lead with hope, healing, and justice through equity and community engagement; starting to explore various career paths across green infrastructure, sustainable food systems, zero-waste, green construction and energy-efficient buildings, solar power and electric vehicles; and building an array of skills towards these paths through activities including GCF “bootcamp” at our Eco-Hubs, OSHA training, hosting volunteers, and professional development events like NYCHA’s Farms and Gardens Conference.
We’ve also been preparing to open not one – but two – additional Eco-Hubs within NYCHA this summer to expand the reach of our community engagement and Service Corps training. We’re excited to partner with the Ravenswood Houses and South Beach Houses communities and directly serve even more NYCHA residents with these new sites.
