At our bi-annual Career Fair last week, it was incredible to see our Cohort 27 Corps Members, alumni and a diverse group of employers come together. It was a fantastic opportunity for our young adults to network, learn, and take significant steps towards their professional goals.
The Career Fair was a bustling hub of activity. Corps Members and alums came dressed to impress, polished resumes in hand, ready to make meaningful connections. It was wonderful to see them engage with employers, ask insightful questions, and present their skills and experiences with confidence. Meeting employers face-to-face provided a unique chance to learn about different career paths and job requirements. Employers were all generous with their time and advice, giving our young adults a cleaner picture of career possibilities. Whether it was gaining insight into their desired industry, understanding expectations of potential employers, or simply practicing their networking skills, our members were able to leave the Career Fair with an invaluable experience.
A special thank you to our employer partners including NYC Dept. of Parks and Recreation, electric vehicle charging and rideshare provider Revel, Brooklyn SolarWorks, and the Trust for Governors Island. We appreciate your time, insights, and the opportunities you brought to the table. With the support of all our partners, staff and community members, we look forward to the continued success of our young leaders in pursuit of their career goals, ensuring they have all the tools and resources to achieve their next steps!
