Dear GCF Community,

As we wind down Black History Month, we’d like to take the time to reflect on the fortitude and accomplishments of both those who’ve walked before us, paving the way for ongoing growth and barrier-breaking, as well as those currently working to create a more just and sustainable world.

From trailblazing icons such as Martin Luther King Jr. and Frederick Douglass, to inspirational community figures including Karen Washington, Ron Finley, and Cecil Corbin-Mark, to our own staff leaders at GCF including Joshua Owens, Felicia Prince, Giselle Birkett, Justin Baker, and all of our amazing staff, Corps Members, Eco-Hub Fellows, Service Coordinators, and entire incredible network of Alumni making Black History every single day — we thank you, celebrate you, and lift you up.

At GCF we celebrate Black history and Black excellence ALL YEAR LONG. We encourage the entire GCF community to do the same.

#BlackHistoryEveryday

In service and solidarity,

GCF
