Dear GCF Community,
Tomorrow begins the Lunar New Year in Asian culture, kicking off two weeks of festivities to usher in the long-awaited spring season. This year is the “Year of the Tiger” which represents new beginnings as well as an empowered collective future, which is reflected in our work as we support the transition of cohorts, excitedly prepare for an Eco-Hub site in Queens, the most diverse borough of NYC, and continue to push for change by uplifting our communities together.
We also want to take the opportunity to honor the Asian diaspora in environmental justice and highlight several resources to learn more about Asian environmentalists and the significant contributions they’ve made to our collective efforts towards a just green planet.
